It's day 2 of our #freetrainingseries for Digital Marketing VAs. Let's build a contact form in Kajabi and help my client get paying customers and filter her leads.
Spoiler Alert: She ended up getting quite a few people reaching out and requesting to get on her waitlist to get their furniture painted in the next year!
Noteworthy: Now this client hasn't paid for the upgraded "automations" in Kajabi, I would normally add a rule that tags the email as a lead. There is a whole email tagging system to learn. But for now we are sticking with the basics
I want my unicorns to start getting familiar with Kajabi and building landing pages. Kajabi can be confusing from the backend but the more you click around, it gets easier

Hey there today, we are going to make a landing page of the contact form inside kajabi.
Now let me tell you why i'm doing that.
My client here is a local furniture painter and she has a shopify website.
But when you do a shopify contact form, it adds it at the very bottom of all of your content, and it just doesn't look pretty so see how it's here i don't have a lot of room to make it pretty to make the page pretty and make It what i want at this point without doing coding, so i'm going to skip that step.
I was going to do a landing page here, but obviously, with the form field, all the way down to here, no one's ever going to sign up for anything.
So, let's get into kajabi, so uh real, quick kajabi can be confusing when you first log in a lot of clients, use it to host their online courses and memberships.
When you log in, if you want to find the pages you're going to come here to website and you're, going to come down here, two pages and we're going to come over here and do a new one, now, i'm going to have a really simple contact form.
I don't want to spend a lot of time on there.
I would like a little bit of text and an easy form field, and so the best thing to do is just use a template.
That's already there, so we are going to send out an email that encourages people to sign up for to hold their spot in january and february for their custom, um furniture painting spot.
I guess you know sue's filling up quickly, so we want to go ahead and book out.
So i'm kind of looking at this mckenna, one, that's nice! I also like this one with the dark, and i think i might try to use this one first, but there's a lot of different options.
You know um, you can't you really can't go wrong.
A lot of it really depends on the photo that you're using behind the text, but i like that this one has a white box, so i know that the form field will look good, no matter what so i'm gon na go with this isabelle one and we're Gon na call it um custom furniture painting by tanglewood okay, so i went ahead and went on her facebook page and just grabbed a couple furniture pictures.
I don't want to bug her.
I want to just take care of it and have my client not have to worry about anything.
So the first thing we want to do is okay, we're going down here to the form.
Maybe, okay, let's see the background is a pancake.
We definitely don't want a pancake, let's go here and load a file that i just did you guys.
I need to clear off all of my downloads um.
I think i'm just gon na do this one right here.
I think it'll look pretty the close-up one extreme close-up.
I think that will look pretty and most of her furniture painting clients just do white furniture or black furniture, but at least this shows her abilities here.
Okay, so we got the background image.
We can position it.
We can play with the colors and whatnot, so let's go over to the form and we are going to say, preserve your spot for custom furniture painting with sue.
So my button, i want to say, save my spot actually a light.
One is all caps save my spot, no reason: let's change the color to something that stan.
I think that will be pretty the text color.
We definitely want white for the button and, let's save it now, kajabi won't show you your changes until you actually hit save so now.
We're gon na have to add a form in here.
So this is the tricky part about forms.
We're gon na have to go, create our own custom form before we can add it to the page.
So, let's head over there and do that so we're going to click here to add new forms and notice that this is tucked under marketing.
It's a little bit.
Hidden inside kajabi new form, we're going to say, custom price quote: i'm going to go ahead and make it 20 20., and this is where we can make add things that we want so um.
She will probably want her.
The phone number we're going to want the city because we want local people and then we're going to want our new fields.
So give me a minute, i'm going to look, listen to her message and see what she wanted.
Okay, i just listened to it and she wants to know the type of furniture the finish or the look and then we're gon na add one other thing that um i ideal date of project completion, so we're gon na make all of these required.
She wants to know this video.
Let's make sure it's required required phone number required email required.
She's gon na send the in the invoice to that email.
Okay, so there we go, we're not gon na make it a double opt-in and we're gon na hit say: oh, we definitely want a notification right.
That's important! We wan na make sure she sees that there's a submission and we do want to send them a custom.
Thank you page, so we'll get to that in a later training all right.
So we got this form saved.
Let's come back over here to our page and refresh and under the form we're going to go ahead and edit that and we should be able to find our custom quote for 2020.
There we go.
Doesn't that look awesome all right, so i'm going to go ahead and leave the limited time only thing there, since it is just an image - and i don't want to bother changing that at this.
Second, i need to get an email out pronto.
So the only other thing i might do with this page is, i might like to put a gallery at the bottom, but i just i don't know it'd be nice to have a piece of her furniture right here.
So let me go, let me just add one and we can always take it off and switch it out.
I want to add one that most of her clients would relate to one.
That is a little bit more on the boring side.
So i have this black one painted, but what would be cool is if it's a before and after so if i can go back and i have more time later - i might make it a before and after and i think that's okay, i think that's okay, so And the image action is not going to do anything, so that's good, so let's save it and then the tricky part inside kajabi is knowing what your page is named and how you edit that.
So let's go back to the page, uh the landing pages, and so we did it right here.
I'M gon na click on this little thing and go to edit details the three dots and we don't want her url to be like that savior.
We want to make sure this page can get found online, so i'm filling out the seo and sharing, and i'm going to name this page quote and then i would like i'm going to go ahead and fill out a description and all that i'll come back to That later, but i just wanted to show you the design part, so here we go.
If you want to see what it looks like, i wish there was a preview button here.
Why is there no preview button? Maybe if i go back this way, oh here we go so this is what it looks like.
We can look at the views and the conversion rates and, let's see what it looks like perfect reserve, your spot for custom furniture painting with sue and that picture is huge.
But for now we're good.
That's how you build a quick landing page in kajabi.
That is a forum field.
You
